Hi.
My Mac app does not sync. It stays on 0% forever.
Upload is working though.
I deleted the preferences and started a new app configuration. Didn't help.
What's wrong here?
Kind regards,
Anton
Help! My Monument app states an update is required and to standby while it uploads but it never does, it just keeps spinning.
Are there plans to allow access via web or ssh? There is people using Linux and ChromeOs
The "advertising" for this device implies a lot more than it actually provides. "Get all your photos backed up and organized automatically!" "Centralize ALL your content
Monument apps running on iOS, Android, MAC, and PC centralizes all your photos and videos in one place. You can access them on any device."
BUT it appears you have to "manually" add all photos from computers and laptops to the program. That is not what is implied in your advertising of the program.
You say the desktop app will start syncing. But it DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ADD photos from your computer or laptop. It only shows photos that it "automatically" synced from your phone. And IF you have to "ADD any new photos from computers or laptops to the program each time you have new phones, it is virtually useless as a place to sync ALL your photos. I could have bought a cheap usb plug to do what this program does with my iphone and then ADD those to an external hard drive myself. Would have saved me a lot of money. I am really sorry I bought this.
Normally your desktop PC is not the source of photos. Also it may contain a lot of image files in yours browsers cash so it makes sense not automatically to search yout C-drive for any picture file. On my desktop I have all my images and other data stored on my D-drive partition, so all I needed to do was to drag the D-drive to the upload platform and the Monument takes care of the rest.
That said I would still like to see an easier way to tag numerous files and then add them to a folder instead of having to add them one-by-one.
Also I would like to find out how to access my collection from a desktop not connected to my home network.
Connected to Samsung cellphone, downloaded photos, connected to ipad, downloaded photos, then downloaded app for Win 10 desktop, run app, after about 20 tries the desktop unable to find the monument. Either an emai mail or phone call to solve the problem please. 408-460-2990

It has taken me two days and a lot of frustration to set up Monument. It would be very helpful if there was a link to tutorials or at least an instruction manual. I became so frustrated that I almost through the thing in the garbage. Finally, by total chance, I discovered the hole problem was due to the fact that I was connected to a 5g network. No where does the instruction manual tell you to connect to 2g. It's a really bad instruction manual. I finally got technical support on a chat. Not once did they tell me to connect to 2g. Once I had done this I was able to set up the device and add new users. Ok now what. I have been unable to find a users guide. I am going to give technical support an opportunity to help me one more time before I trow it in the garbage. The only reason I haven't done this yet is because if it actually works it will solve a really big photo sharing problem.
it seems that everyone had the same problem with desktop.
totally incorrect claim that i can sort out my photo in computer..
bad !!
Amazing, and annoying, that one does not see any reply from support on almost all questions from users?
Trying to download the Desktop application for Mac OS, I get a warning that this site is not secure? You guys at Monument are surely aware of this nonsense? Why don't you fix it!
Furthermore, it says that the Desktop App is on BETA... for over a year? When will you fix the final application? Though, does one really need it? For what?
Like many, I believe that I have just spent a lot of money for a useless system.
So far, not been able to set it up. My Wi-Fi is on 2.4 but still no set-up possible.
Don't get your hopes up. Mine has been sitting in the back of the closet for over a year. I keep thinking it "MIGHT" work someday. lol
i went thru the same thing a couple years ago and tossed it. but in a moment of weakness(?) a couple weeks ago, i bought it again and works ok. still slightly buggy but it does work.
Thanks Nancy and James. I also got an email from Monument, stating that one does not need to connect the device with an HDMI cable, nor Ethernet cable, it should work with the iPhone app directly.
Maybe, they should redo their confusing set-up video then!
Anyway, I will give it a last try later this week, encouraged by James’ experience.
my setup is very different, i use an android phone, windows pc, hdmi and ethenet. my real goal was to backup thousands of photos from the (several) hard drives in my pc to an external hd without backing up duplicates. it doe seem to have worked.
