Common Problems
Monument scans your photos and analyzes the file data (file type, size, resolution, pixels, bytes, etc.). Monument will not backup files that are exactly the same. However, if there is an edited and unedited version of the same photo or different resolutions, Monument will back up both of them.
If there are photos that appear to be duplicates, please check the following information for each duplicate photo.
- Original vs Edited
- All unique versions are backed up
- All unique versions are backed up
- Resolution
- Different resolutions of the same photo can appear as duplicates
- Open a photo in the app and swipe up to view more information
- File format
- Different file formats of the same photo can appear as duplicates (e.g. JPG, PNG etc.)
- Open a photo in the app and swipe up to view more information

My photos are NOT duplicates but Monument thinks they are and won't import.
@Russ
Thanks for the feedback!
This is when you upload from the desktop app. After uploading, Monument still needs to process your content before it appears in the app. During this time, your LED is blinking white. If you try to upload the same photos again, you will receive a duplicate error. Technically, they've been uploaded but Monument is processing the content.
I had accidentally deleted the photos from monument. Then when try to upload the photos again, it said duplicated and did not upload. How do i upload agin?
I have the Same question as Joseph...
